Our consultants have a thorough understanding of the opportunities and risks associated with electronic health records. We have extensive practical experience of the Australian Government's HealthConnect and MediConnect initiatives.

Our HealthConnect  work has included:

• Development of the Care Planning business requirements for the South Australian HealthConnect programme (2006);

• Review of the Brisbane South HealthConnect Trial for Queensland Health (2006);

• Review of the North Queensland HealthConnect Trial for Queensland Health (2006);

• Review of the HealthConnect and MediConnect Trial evaluation materials and production of a Lesson Learned Report (2005);

• Contributing to the development of the HealthConnect Business Architecture (version 1.9) as part of a multi-consultancy assignment (2004);

• The independent evaluation of Phase 2 of the Tasmanian HealthConnect Trial (2003/2004), including incorporation of aspects of the MediConnect model within the HealthConnect Trial during 2004;

• The independent evaluation of Phase 1 of the Tasmanian HealthConnect Trial (2002/03) and contributions to the Department of Health & Ageing’s Interim Research Report;

• The development of the initial HealthConnect research plan (2002);
